I was shocked, like many other Nigerians were, when i heard the terrible news. You left too soon, without fully offloading all you had to offer to our great country and the world at large. May your soul rest in perfect peace.

When I heard Of your demise, I thought it was one of those Nigeria and PMB scandals but it came out to be true. Then I realized that a legend is gone. Though you left so soon but you made a great impact in your generation and the ones after you. Africa Cup of nations trophy in 2013 brought our glory back to us. Rest on, our rare gem. Until we all meet again to part nomore. Good nite.

I was just 5 years old when Nigeria won the Africa Nations Cup in 1994. Thank you for winning the trophy in 2013 when I became matured enough to understand football and victory. I can never forget U sir. R.I.P.
