Tribute to my uncle

Dear Obi,

I still can’t bear the reality that you are no longer on earth. Death is a common leveler and has no regards for the status of an individual, such that it can even come for the great in the prime/peak of their greatness. You are a God-fearing man. Your Heavenly Father has decided that it is now time you rest from your labors on this earth. Obi, you are well loved and will be missed by everyone. I will miss, I love you. Till we meet again.

Umu Kamara

My wonderful uncle

My wonderful uncle Obi, words cannot express how sad I am writing this and knowing that I won’t get to experience certain moments with you again. Your prayers over the family and our homes, your words of encouragement and advice, and your soothing and peaceful aura are some of the many things I will miss about you. Thank you for showing by example what it means to be a man after God’s heart. You will forever be in my heart and I pray that your soul will continue to rest in perfect peace. Love you uncle!

Tribute to a Beloved Uncle

When I think of my Uncle Obi, I think of peace. A firm yet reassuring presence. Memories of visits to the States during my childhood when, before his flight home, he would hand Tobechi and me a bag of coins, the left-over change from all his shopping. I feel the powerful prayers that he lovingly spoke over each and every member of our large family, prayers that I know continue to support us even now. He always had a word of encouragement and a smile to share and that’s one of the virtues I love most about him. Our dearest Uncle, since your departure, we have struggled to reconcile the fact that your time with us here on earth has come to its conclusion. It doesn’t seem right that the world continues moving when you aren’t here. You’ve touched so many with your love, ministry, and the spectacular life you led. You’re priceless. Your kind and ever graceful spirit set the example for us to follow. It’s been an honor to exist in the same space for the time we shared together. We love you so much. Until we meet again.

TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST UNCLE OBI

Two days after my wedding, I got the shocker of my life, Uncle Obi, I’m yet to come to terms with your sudden transition to glory. Uncle you lived a life worthy of emulating, you were more than a priest, purest in heart, your presence alone was peace and calm, how I'll miss your prayers, my siblings and I often talked about how we enjoyed hearing you pray and wished you wouldn't stop. Ah! Uncle nke'm, does it mean that we won't hear your voice again??? Uncle, but I wanted you to meet my husband and also bless our marriage. I told him how you remind me of don moen for some reasons. I told him that you are an angel in human form. Uncle, I can give anything to bring you back to us. You were a cheerful giver who gave not because you had plenty but because it was in your nature to give. My dear uncle I am so c proud to be called your niece, and I thank God for blessing me with the best uncle literally anyone could ask for.

Thank you so much Uncle Obii for being a blessing to all of us. I never ever in my wildest dream thought I'll be writing this kind of tribute, but who are we to question God. My only consolation is that you are in heaven singing with the angels. We love you so much uncle’m.

Please give mama and papa a big hug for us. Till we meet again on the resurrection day.
